Forex Tournaments ForexStars

ForexStars is the first and the largest website where you can participate in Forex tournaments that are not affiliated with any single brokerage company. Over 100000 traders from all over the world have joined ForexStars to participate in broker-independent real-money Forex tournaments. You can participate and win tourney, while trading on your trading account registered with your broker. Tournament's prize fund is made from all participant's buy-ins and initial prize fund of a tournament (if it is a freeroll). The prize fund is to be distributed among winners, traders who show the best performance results during the course of the tournament.

All trades made between tournament's start time and end time are counted. For each trade, profitability is calculated, which is equal to trade's profit divided by account's balance at the moment when the trade was opened. Then all profitabilities of all orders (positive and negative) are summed to yield account's result, which is shown in "Result" column in table of participants (denoted in %).

Three participants whose results are top three among all other tournament's participants are eligible for getting a reward. When there is only one first place winner, one second place winner, and one third place winner, first place gets 50% of the prize fund, second place gets 30% of the prize fund, and third place gets 20% of the prize fund. In a more complex case, when some traders have the same result as one of the winners, the reward is distributed fairly to them as well.
